Biography

Sean M. Beehler is an experienced litigation and transactional attorney. Mr. Beehler began his career representing public entities in a variety of state and federal litigation matters at both the trial and appellate levels. These included land use, zoning and public nuisance matters, as well as the defense of police departments and individual officers against claims of excessive force. Mr. Beehler has served as a city prosecutor and has obtained civil injunctions against several violent criminal street gangs in Los Angeles County.

Mr. Beehler has advised redevelopment agencies, municipal building, planning, and public works departments on such matters as the California Redevelopment Law, eminent domain practice, building standards, zoning requirements, the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), the Subdivision Map Act, the Permit Streamlining Act , public contract bidding requirements and construction disputes.

Mr. Beehler's considerable experience in advising and representing public agencies makes him uniquely qualified to represent the firm's business, developer and contractor clients in both private and public disputes. Mr. Beehler is also a California licensed real estate broker and is experienced in land transactions in both the public and private sectors, and as such is well versed in California real estate law.
